Art capital 2026 - Grand palais, paris
A few months before the exhibition, I was invited to exhibit at Art Capital in the Grand Palais in Paris. Who could say no to that?
After accepting the invitation, I sat down at my desk and started working on two new paintings. I wanted to bring something special to Paris. A week of little sleep, hard work, and quite a bit of frustration later, the two paintings were finished.
Or so I thought.
However, I sold one of the paintings just a few days later. So I had to sit down at my desk once again and start all over, with an ever-approaching deadline.
A month later, I finally found myself on a plane to Paris, filled with excitement and determination, but also with a fair amount of nervousness and fear.
First, I met Silvia Hofbauer, who had invited me to Art Capital, as well as the Korean artists BADBOSS and Gilme. Together with around 3,000 other artists, we hung our works one day before the opening and kept admiring the beauty and sheer size of the building.
The exhibition itself was filled with conversations, excitement, new discoveries, and many special encounters. I enjoyed every single day, even though we sometimes spent more than ten hours there. Going to bed early was a dream.
Of course, I didn’t want to spend all my time at my own stand. I also took the opportunity to look at the works of the other artists, exchange ideas, and make connections with artists and gallery owners. There was such an incredible variety of art—it was truly amazing.
It was an experience like no other and my first international exhibition!
I was especially happy to receive not one, but two artist awards there for the first time:
Art Capital Artist Award 2026 at the Grand Palais in Paris
Prix André Malraux (Catégorie Président) at the Salon des Indépendants 2026 at the Grand Palais in Paris
I’m already looking forward to the upcoming exhibitions with BADBOSS and Gilme—and, of course, to hopefully returning to Paris again next year.
